Sir Alan Sugar Gets Served

Stella, winner of TV show The Apprentice, is claiming constructive dismissal after Sir Alan Sugar decided not to renew her £100,000-a-year contract. We bet he's less than pleased about that... Stella, who won the show in 2010, intends to claim that she was forced out of her job when she attends the employment tribunal. And she's not exactly bashful about it either, as she claims Lord Sugar brought it upon himself: “Lord Sugar has forgotten one of the first rules of business – never under-estimate someone who has nothing to lose.” We wonder if she would have felt the need to make such a song and dance about things if Sir Alan Sugar had showed a little remorse at his actions. However Stella claims that, while telling her she would not be returning to work for his company, Sir Alan lapsed into his usual expletive-riddled ways: “I’ve met my obligations to you as far as I’m concerned. If you think Lord Sugar is s******g himself when you left the Viglen job, you’re wrong, ‘cos I don’t give a s***.” She was one of the most-respected contestants on the show, with Sir Alan praising her for her determination and fierce attitude, but the pair soon fell out when she started complaining about her place in the workplace. Stella was hired to work in Sugar's Viglen offices but complained that the person she had to report to was less experienced than her. She was then moved to another business, but she found there was nothing for her to do there. Furstrated, Lord Sugar informed her that her contract would come to an end in December. He should have guessed that the "ice maiden" wouldn't take that lying down...
