His rather tongue-in-cheek instructions include directing motorists to perform handbrake turns rather than U-turns, it is claimed. As well as Clarkson’s voice, the new Tom Tom device, which is set to be launched next month, also features a Stig mode – based on the Top Gear’s famously mute racing driver.
