Nicolas Cage won't be charged with a crime after his arrest last month for domestic abuse in New Orleans.

The New Orleans District Attorney tells TMZ.com, "The evidence did not support charging Cage with a crime."
He was picked up by police around 6:30 a.m. after a cab driver said he saw him grabbing his wife, Alice, in a fight about where they live in the city. (His two homes in the city have been foreclosed upon; recap his biggest financial issues here.) Cage then allegedly dared police to "just arrest me," and they did.
Alice said she will not press charges and denied any physical contact.
He spent several hours in jail before reality star Dog the Bounty Hunter posted his $11,000 bond.
Cage has been in town filming Medallion.
"This is our fifth film with Nic Cage. He is a gifted actor and consummate professional. We know he will weather this incident wel. He has our total support," Producer Avi Lerner told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement two days after his arrest.
