The King's Speech star - who is favourite to scoop an Oscar for best actor - has been married to Italian film producer Livia since 1997 and they have two sons together.
He told Piers Morgan on Piers Morgan Tonight that despite the attentions of fans, he'd never cheat on her.
'It does help to actually realise that however stunning the person who is, you know, fluttering eyelashes at you is, she doesn't do anything to match up to your wife,' he said.
'Maybe it's shallow of me to have a wife that's so beautiful, but it makes things easier. To me she's the most beautiful woman in the world.'
Colin continued: 'You know, we've made it 15 years together. I think that's pretty good going by Hollywood standards - and it's going to go on forever.'
The 50-year-old, who became a heartthrob after emerging from a lake in a dripping wet shirt as Mr Darcy in BBC drama Pride And Prejudice in 1995, said their successful marriage was down to work."
