Three arrested 'in plot to blackmail Coleen Rooney over lost photos of Kai' | News: "Three people have been arrested over an alleged plot to blackmail Wayne Rooney's wife over private pictures of their 15-month-old son.

They are believed to have demanded a five-figure reward for a camera phone containing 'treasured family shots' of the couple's son Kai that Coleen Rooney lost at a Black Eyed Peas concert last May.

However they were seized by police in a sting operation after Mrs Rooney, 24, reported the phone stolen when she was unable to find it in a private box at the MEN arena in Manchester.

She and Manchester United and England footballer Wayne, 25, had been at the concert together. Venue staff were unable to find the phone despite her frantic requests.

The couple decided to report the matter to police after attempts were made to sell the pictures of the child to media outlets four months after the phone went missing.

A spokesman for British Transport Police, which is responsible for the venue, said that a 41-year-old man from Manchester was arrested on September 10 last year."
